Poster Analysis 3

The third poster I looked at "The Phantom Of The Opera" This film is a musical. By this point of my research I have understood what conventions are used on movie posters and why certain conventions are  displayed differently. Significantly, the general conventions of poster are almost identical.

Poster Analysis 2

I decided to analyse and annotate a poster from a different genre, to see if the conventions were the same regardless of the genre. The film is "Battle Of The Year" it is a musical. I found that many of the conventions were the same as the last poster, despite the fact that they differ in genre.

Poster Analysis 1

The first poster I annotated was "Admission" for this task I was trying to identify the different poster conventions rather than genre. This will give me an indication of what conventions that can be found on posters, and what I will eventually will have to base my own poster on.

A2 Media Production - Brief

For my A2 media coursework project I will create a film marketing campaign for an imaginary movie which will include

  • Teaser trailer
  • Film poster
  • Magazine front cover

I will construct analysis of existing posters, magazine covers and trailers to find the conventions of posters to find the conventions of different types of media.
Film marketing campaigns must have a degree of unity so the audience are aware that each element is advertising the same film.
